Sustainable cotton
We use sustainable cotton, a hypoallergenic fabric that is soothing and does not irritate even sensitive skin. Did you know that cotton is not only used in the fashion industry, but also in the medical field? The durability of the fibre makes styles in cotton particularly long-lasting, timelessly combinable and therefore sustainable. To strengthen trust in our products, we certify them according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). In addition, through our membership in the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), we strive to develop more sustainable solutions for cotton production.

Mulesing-free wool
windsor is paying close attention to the quality but also to the origin of its fabrics. Unlike cashmere, merino wool is not combed. The natural fiber is obtained by shearing the merino sheep. We ensure that our suppliers only use wool from farms that practice animal-friendly breeding without mulesing - a method that involves removing the skin from the tail area of merino sheep without anesthesia. The reason for using this method is the frequent infestation of fly maggots. This leads to inflammation and, in the worst case, death of the animals.

Sustainable down
Nothing provides warmth in winter like a lined down jacket. But there are a few things to consider when buying this coveted product. We certify our products according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). This means that we comply with the mandatory minimum standards for obtaining down - from breeding the animals right through to the finished product. This prohibits force-feeding and the removal of down from the living animal.

Luxurious materials define the quality of fashion. In no way does this exclude animal welfare. windsor. specialises in the finest feel, the highest wearing comfort and an exclusive aesthetic - entirely without the use of farmed fur or angora. Furthermore, all leather and lambskin are by-products of the food industry.
